UGVCL Graduate Apprentice Recruitment 2025 – 56 Vacancies

Uttar Gujarat Vij Company Limited (UGVCL) has released a recruitment notification for the engagement of Graduate Apprentices under the BOAT Scheme. This is a one-year apprenticeship program on a contractual basis, providing fresh engineering graduates an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the power distribution sector.

Candidates who have completed their B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering in 2023 or 2024 with at least 55% marks can apply online. The selection process will be based on merit, determined by the marks obtained in their degree.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

  • Candidates must have completed B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering in 2023 or 2024 from a recognized university.
  • A minimum of 55% marks is required to be eligible.

Other Important Eligibility Conditions

  • Candidates must not have undergone any previous apprenticeship training.
  • Candidates who have work experience of one year or more after completing their degree are not eligible.
  • Candidates must not have completed or be pursuing any master’s (postgraduate) course.
  • Candidates with distance learning, part-time, or correspondence degrees are not eligible.
  • Applicants must be a minimum of 18 years old at the time of application.

Stipend & Benefits

  • Selected candidates will receive a stipend of Rs. 9,000 per month.
  • No TA/DA, lodging, or boarding expenses will be provided.
  • The stipend may be revised by GUVNL during the apprenticeship period.

Selection Process

  • Selection will be based purely on merit, determined by the marks obtained in the degree examination.
  • In case of a tie (same marks), preference will be given to the older candidate.
  • No canvassing or influence will be accepted at any stage of selection.

Job Location & Tenure

  • Selected candidates will be placed in field offices under:
    • Mehsana Circle
    • Palanpur Circle
    • Himatnagar Circle
    • Sabarmati Circle
  • The tenure of the apprenticeship is one year only and cannot be extended.
  • UGVCL is not obligated to offer regular employment after the apprenticeship period.

Important Points to Note

  • Candidates must verify that they meet all eligibility criteria before applying.
  • Mere submission of the application does not guarantee selection.
  • Selected candidates must undergo medical fitness tests as per Apprentices Act, 1961.
  • If any information provided by the candidate is found to be false at any stage, their application will be rejected.
