Eligibility Criteria

To apply for the apprenticeship, candidates must meet the following criteria:

Educational Qualifications

  • Graduate Apprentices (Engineering/Technology)
    • Candidates must have completed a full-time degree in Engineering or Technology from a recognized university or institute.
  • Technician (Diploma) Apprentices
    • A full-time diploma in Engineering or Technology from a recognized state board, university, or institution.
  • Non-Engineering Graduate Apprentices
    • A full-time degree in Arts, Science, Commerce, Business Administration, or Computer Applications from a UGC-approved university.

Ineligible Candidates

  • Candidates who have already completed an apprenticeship training or have one year or more of work experience are not eligible.

Age Limit

  • The age requirements will be determined according to the rules set under the Apprenticeship Act.

Reservation Policy

  • Reservations for SC/ST/OBC/PwD will be provided as per government guidelines.
  • Candidates claiming reservation must submit valid category certificates in the prescribed format

Pay Scale (Monthly Stipend)

Selected candidates will receive a fixed stipend during their one-year apprenticeship training.

Selection Process

The selection will be purely merit-based, with no written exam or interview.

Steps in Selection Process

  1. Shortlisting Based on Marks – Candidates will be shortlisted based on their percentage of marks in the qualifying degree or diploma.
  2. Notification via Email – Shortlisted candidates will be informed via their registered email ID.
  3. Certificate Verification – Selected candidates will have to attend document verification at HVF, Avadi, Chennai.

Important: Candidates must enter their percentage of marks in the application form. If you leave this section blank, your application will not be accepted.

Applications must be submitted online through the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) portal.

Steps to Apply for HVF Apprenticeship 2025

If You Are Already Registered on the Old NATS Portal

  1. Visit the NATS website.
  2. Log in with your existing credentials.
  3. To submit your application, navigate to the “Apply Against Advertised Vacancies” section and look for “HEAVY VEHICLES FACTORY.”
  4. Click Apply (Your status should change to “Applied”).

If You Are Already Registered on the New NATS Portal

  1. Visit the NATS website.
  2. Log in with your registered email ID and password.
  3. Search for “HEAVY VEHICLES FACTORY” and click Apply.

If You Are a New Applicant (First Time Registration)

  1. Go to the NATS website.
  2. If you’re a new user, click on “Student Register,” enter your details, and complete the registration process.
  3. After registration, you will receive a 12-digit Enrollment Number.
  4. Log in, search for “HEAVY VEHICLES FACTORY”, and click Apply.

Documents Required for Application:

  • Provisional degree/diploma certificate OR consolidated mark sheet
  • Percentage of marks (CGPA x 10 must be entered)
