Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
- Applicants must hold either a 3-year or 5-year LL.B. degree. degree in 2025 from a university or college recognized by the Bar Council of India.
- Candidates awaiting final year results of their LL.B. degree in 2025 can also apply.
- Candidates must have scored 55% or more in their LL.B. examination.
- Candidates must have basic knowledge of computer applications, including data entry and word processing.
Other Eligibility Conditions
- Candidates must not have practiced as an advocate or engaged in any other profession/service.
- Candidates who completed their law degree before 2025 are not eligible.
Selection Process
The selection process consists of three stages:
1. Shortlisting Based on Weightage Marks (20 Marks)
Candidates will be awarded weightage marks based on their language skills, academic performance, and co-curricular activities.
Weightage Criteria
- Language Proficiency (10 Marks): Based on marks obtained in Hindi & English at Class 10th or 12th.
- Academics (5 Marks): Based on LL.B. percentage (more than 80% gets 5 marks).
- Co-curricular Activities (5 Marks): Participation in Moot Court competitions or Legal Paper Publications at different levels.
2. Screening Test (60 Marks)
Shortlisted candidates will appear for a Screening Test at Prayagraj. The test will assess legal knowledge, reasoning, and comprehension skills.
3. Interview (20 Marks)
Candidates qualifying the screening test will appear for an interview conducted by a selection panel. The interview will assess:
- Legal understanding and analytical ability
- Communication and research skills
Interview Assessment Criteria
- Exceptional Performance: 80 Marks
- Very Good Performance: 70 Marks
- Good Performance: 60 Marks
- Passable Performance: 40 Marks
- Unsuitable: 30 Marks
Final Merit List
- Weightage Marks (20%)
- Screening Test (60%)
- Interview (20%)
In case of a tie, preference will be given to:
- Candidates with higher marks in Screening & Interview Tests.
- If still tied, candidates with higher Interview scores.
- If still tied, older candidates will be ranked higher.
