Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

  • Candidates must have passed 10th Standard (SSC/Matriculation) from a recognized board of the concerned State/UT
  • Candidates must be undergraduate as on 01 January 2026
  • Graduates or candidates with higher qualifications are not eligible

Ex-Servicemen

  • Must have passed 10th standard
  • Should have completed at least 15 years of defence service
  • Must not have graduated outside the Armed Forces

Language Proficiency

  • Applicants should be able to read, write, speak, and understand the local/official language of the State/UT for which they are applying

Experience (Desirable)

  • Candidates with previous work experience in RBI may receive age relaxation up to 3 years

Age Limit (as on 01 January 2026)

  • Minimum Age: 18 years
  • Maximum Age: 25 years

Age Relaxation

  • SC / ST: 5 years
  • OBC: 3 years
  • PwBD:
    • 10 years (GEN/EWS)
    • 13 years (OBC)
    • 15 years (SC/ST)
  • Ex-Servicemen: Service period + 3 years (maximum age 50 years)

Salary and Allowances

Selected candidates will receive a starting basic pay of ₹24,250 per month in the pay scale:

  • After 3 increments of ₹1,200 → ₹34,150

  • After 2 increments of ₹2,700 → ₹50,750
  • After 1 increment of ₹2,800₹53,550 (Maximum Pay)

Pay Scale Range: ₹24,250 – ₹53,550

Additional Benefits

  • Approximate gross monthly salary: ₹46,029 (excluding HRA)
  • House Rent Allowance (HRA): 15% if RBI accommodation is not provided
  • Other allowances as per RBI rules

Selection Process

Stage 1: Online Test

  • Total Questions: 120
  • Total Marks: 120
  • Duration: 90 minutes

Sections:

  • Reasoning – 30 questions
  • General English – 30 questions
  • General Awareness – 30 questions
  • Numerical Ability – 30 questions

Negative marking: 1/4 mark deducted for each wrong answer
Candidates must qualify in each section separately

Stage 2: Language Proficiency Test (LPT)

  • Qualifying in nature
  • Conducted in the official/local language of the State/UT
  • Failure to qualify will lead to disqualification
