The CSIR-Indian Institute of Toxicology Research (CSIR-IITR), Lucknow, has announced 10 vacancies for the post of Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA). Salary & Benefits

  • Pay Scale: Level-2 (Cell-1) of the Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

Candidates must have:

  • Higher Secondary (10+2) or an equivalent certification from a recognized board.
  • Proficiency in computer typing speed:
    • 35 words per minute (w.p.m.) in English OR
    • 30 words per minute (w.p.m.) in Hindi
    • As per DoPT/CSIR norms

Selection Process

Written Examination

The OMR-based or Computer-Based Test will have two papers:

Paper-I (Qualifying in Nature)

Typing Proficiency Test

  • Candidates must qualify in computer typing (35 w.p.m. in English OR 30 w.p.m. in Hindi)
  • The test is qualifying in nature and will not impact the merit list

Merit List Preparation

  • Only Paper-II marks will be considered for the merit list
  • Tiebreaker Rules (if candidates score the same marks):
    1. Fewer negative marks
    2. Older candidate (by Date of Birth) gets priority
    3. Earlier qualification date
    4. Alphabetical order of the first name
