Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must ensure that they meet the post-specific eligibility conditions before applying. Mere fulfillment of eligibility does not guarantee selection.

Educational Qualifications

Clerk:

  • Must possess a degree from a recognized university
  • Preference will be given to candidates holding a Degree in Law

Peon:

  • Must be able to read and write in the Marathi language

Driver:

  • Must have passed 10th standard
  • Must possess a valid Light Motor Vehicle (LMV) driving license
  • Minimum 3 years of driving experience is mandatory

Lower Grade Stenographer:

  • Graduate degree from a recognized university
  • Knowledge of shorthand is essential

Higher Grade Stenographer:

  • Must possess a graduate degree
  • This requirement may be relaxed for candidates with at least 5 years of service as a Lower Grade Stenographer in the High Court or other courts, tribunals, or government legal offices
  • Preference will be given to candidates with a Degree in Law

Age Limit (as on 05 January 2026)

  • Minimum Age: 18 years
  • Maximum Age: 38 years

Salary Scale and Pay Structure

The selected candidates will be placed under different pay scales based on the post, along with applicable allowances as per rules.

Clerk:

  • Pay Scale: ₹29,200 – ₹92,300 (S-10)
  • Additional allowances as applicable

Peon:

  • Pay Scale: ₹16,600 – ₹52,500

Driver:

  • Pay Scale: ₹29,200 – ₹92,300
  • Additional allowances as applicable

Lower Grade Stenographer:

  • Pay Scale: ₹49,100 – ₹1,55,800 (S-18)
  • Allowances as per government norms

Higher Grade Stenographer:

  • Pay Scale: ₹56,100 – ₹1,77,500 (S-20)
  • Allowances as admissible

Selection Process

The selection process will be conducted by a designated Selection Committee. The committee holds the authority to decide the most appropriate method for shortlisting candidates at any stage.

The selection may include:

  • Typing Test
  • Shorthand Test (for stenographer posts)
  • Viva-Voce (Interview)

Based on performance in these stages, a Select List and Wait List will be prepared in order of merit.

The validity of the Select List and Wait List will be two years from the date of publication unless extended. Candidates failing to join within the stipulated time will be removed from the list without prior notice.
