Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
- Clinical & Non-Clinical Posts:
MD / MS / DNB in the relevant specialty from MCI/NMC-recognized institutions - Super Specialty Posts:
DM / MCh / DNB / DrNB in concerned super specialty from recognized institutions - Qualifications must be completed on or before 01 January 2026
Experience Requirements
- One year Senior Residency after PG completion is mandatory for Clinical and Non-Clinical posts
- Senior Residency not required for Super Specialty posts
- Candidates with DNB from non-NMC recognized institutes must complete one additional year of Senior Residency
Essential Conditions
- Mandatory AP Medical Council Registration
- Only local candidates of Andhra Pradesh are eligible
- Candidates who studied from Class 4 to Class 10 in AP qualify as local
- Migrants from Telangana to AP within 3 years from 02 June 2014 are also eligible
- Doctors already working as regular Assistant Professors under DME are not eligible
Age Limit (as on 01 July 2025)
- Minimum Age: 18 years
- Maximum Age: 42 years
Age Relaxation
- SC / ST / BC / EWS: 5 years
- Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PBD): 10 years
- Ex-Servicemen: Military service period + 3 years, subject to maximum age limit
Salary Details
- Pay Level: As per 7th UGC Pay Commission
- Monthly Salary: ₹68,900 – ₹2,05,500
- Super Specialty Allowance: ₹30,000 per month (extra)

Selection Process
Selection will be carried out based on merit and reservation rules, with a total of 100 marks:
- Academic Performance: 75 marks
- Years Since PG Completion: 10 marks
- Central Institution Qualification: 5 marks
- Contract Service Weightage:
- COVID-19 Duties: 5 marks per 6 months
- Tribal Area: 2.5 marks per 6 months
- Rural Area: 2 marks per 6 months
- Urban Area: 1 mark per 6 months
Contract service will be counted only after PG completion.
Reservation Policy
- Vertical Reservation: SC, ST, BC, EWS
- Horizontal Reservation: Women and Persons with Benchmark Disabilities
- SC Sub-classification (SC-I, SC-II, SC-III) applicable
- EWS candidates must submit valid 2025-26 income certificate
