  • Bonafide Himachali: Must possess a Bonafide Himachal Pradesh certificate.
  • Physical & Mental Fitness: Candidates should be physically fit, able-bodied, of sound mind, and of good character.
  • Educational Qualification: Minimum qualification of Matric (10th) from a recognized school in Himachal Pradesh. Bonafide Himachal residents are exempted from the location requirement.
  • Desirable Skills: Knowledge of animal husbandry practices and awareness of local customs, dialects, and traditions is advantageous.

Salary & Work Hours

Selected candidates will be engaged on a part-time basis (4 hours/day) with a monthly honorarium of Rs. 5,000/-. This engagement does not entitle candidates to regular employment benefits or claims for government service absorption.

Selection Process

The recruitment will follow a two-stage selection process:

Stage-I: Physical Fitness Test

  • Candidates must carry 25 kg weight for 100 meters within one minute.
  • The schedule and venue for the test will be notified on the department website.

Stage-II: Merit List & Counselling

  • Candidates clearing the physical test will be shortlisted by the Pashu Mitra Engagement Committee (PMEC).
  • Merit will be determined based on educational qualification, practical experience in animal husbandry, residency, and other relevant criteria.
  • Shortlisted candidates will undergo document verification at the time of counselling.
