The Department of Animal Husbandry, Himachal Pradesh has officially announced the Multi Task Worker (Pashu Mitra) Recruitment 2026. Through this recruitment drive, a total of 67 vacancies will be filled. Candidates who have passed Matriculation (10th class) and meet the eligibility conditions can apply through the offline application process.
The offline application process has already started from 05 January 2026, and the last date to submit the application form is 31 January 2026 (up to 3:00 PM). Interested applicants must submit their applications to the concerned Senior Veterinary Officer (SVO) of the respective Sub-Divisional Veterinary Hospital.

Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
- Candidates must have passed Matric (10th class).
- The qualification should be from any school or institution located in Himachal Pradesh.
- However, this condition does not apply to Bonafide Himachali candidates.
Additional Requirements
- Basic knowledge of Animal Husbandry activities.
- Familiarity with local customs, traditions, manners, and dialects of Himachal Pradesh.
- Preference will be given to candidates having practical experience in Animal Husbandry, supported by a valid certificate (as per Annexure-B).
Age Limit (as on 31 January 2026)
- Minimum Age: 18 years
- Maximum Age: 45 years
Candidates must satisfy the age criteria on the last date of application submission.
Salary / Stipend
Selected candidates will receive a monthly honorarium of ₹5,000 (Rupees Five Thousand only).

Selection Process
The selection of candidates will be done through the following stages:
1. Physical Test
- Candidates must carry 25 kg weight for 100 meters within 1 minute.
- Details regarding the date, time, and venue of the physical test will be communicated separately.
- Only candidates who qualify the physical test will be called for counselling.
2. Merit List Preparation
- The Pashu Mitra Engagement Committee (PMEC) will prepare a panel of five candidates for each institution based on merit.
- Shortlisting will be strictly based on marks obtained in the Matriculation examination.
- Candidates will be called for document verification during counselling.
General Instructions
- Applications must be submitted only in the prescribed format (Annexure-A) printed on A-4 size paper.
- The form must be filled in the candidate’s own handwriting using blue or black ball-point pen.
- Incomplete applications, unsigned declarations, missing photographs, or applications received after the due date will be rejected without notice.
- Self-attested photocopies of all required certificates must be attached.
- Original documents will be verified during counselling.
- A waiting list panel will remain valid for one year from the date of result declaration.
- Selected candidates must submit a medical fitness certificate (Annexure-C) before joining.
