Eligibility Criteria

  • Chief Law Assistant: Degree in Law with 3 years practice as a Pleader at Bar. Serving Railway employees with a Law degree and 5 years of service are also eligible.
  • Public Prosecutor: Graduate in Law with at least 5 years of experience as an advocate at Bar.
  • Junior Translator (Hindi): Master’s degree in Hindi or English with a recognized diploma/certificate in translation OR 2 years government translation experience.
  • Senior Publicity Inspector: Graduate with a diploma in Public Relations/Advertising/Journalism/Mass Communication. Desirable: 2 years of related experience.
  • Staff and Welfare Inspector: Graduate with a diploma/LLB/MBA/PG Diploma in relevant HR, Labour, or Social Welfare field.
  • Scientific Assistant (Training): Second-class Master’s in Psychology with 1-year experience in psychological testing. Desirable: Knowledge of computers/statistics and specialization in Industrial/Organizational Psychology.
  • Lab Assistant Grade III: 12th pass with Physics & Chemistry as subjects.
  • Scientific Supervisor: Second-class Master’s in Psychology or Physiology with 2 years experience in psychological testing, work psychology research, or training. Desirable: Industrial Psychology, Ergonomics/Counseling with computer/statistics knowledge.

Salary Details

  • Chief Law Assistant & Public Prosecutor: Rs. 44,900/month (Level 7)
  • Junior Translator (Hindi), Senior Publicity Inspector, Staff and Welfare Inspector, Scientific Assistant (Training): Rs. 35,400/month (Level 6)
  • Lab Assistant Grade III: Rs. 19,900/month (Level 2)
  • Scientific Supervisor: Rs. 44,900/month (Level 7)

Selected candidates may undergo training, during which only a stipend will be paid as applicable.

Selection Process

  1. Computer-Based Test (CBT) – 90 minutes, 100 questions; 1/3 negative marking
  2. Translation Test (only for Junior Translator) – Qualifying in nature, 60% pass mark
  3. Document Verification (DV)
  4. Medical Examination – As per post-specific standards

The minimum qualifying marks are: 40% for UR/EWS, 30% for OBC-NCL and SC, and 25% for ST candidates.
