Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

Candidates must possess the following qualifications based on the unit applied for:

  • Administration / Accounts / IIT Hospital:
    Candidates must hold a graduate degree in Arts, Commerce, Science, Secretarial Practice, Modern Office Management, Pharmacy, or Physiotherapy.
  • Estate & Works:
    Graduate or Diploma in Engineering / Technology
  • Hostels / Guest Houses:
    Graduate or Diploma in Hotel Management and Catering Technology

Important Qualification Conditions:

  • The gap between the last date of application and passing the qualifying exam must not exceed two years
  • Candidates who have already completed an apprenticeship or are currently undergoing apprenticeship training with any other organization are not eligible to apply.
  • Applicants must be registered on the NATS 2.0 portal

Age Limit (as on 19 January 2026)

  • Minimum Age: 18 years
  • Maximum Age: 25 years

Age Relaxation:
Upper age relaxation is applicable as per Government of India rules for SC, ST, OBC, and PwBD candidates.

Salary / Stipend

Selected apprentices will receive a monthly consolidated stipend as follows:

  • Degree Holders: ₹15,000 per month
  • Diploma Holders: ₹12,000 per month

No additional allowances or benefits will be provided.

Application Fee

  • No application fee is required for any category of candidates.

Selection Process

  • Selection will be based purely on merit, calculated from the percentage of marks obtained in the qualifying degree or diploma
  • In case of a tie in marks:
    • Preference will be given to the older candidate
    • If the tie persists, the final decision will be taken by the competent authority
  • Final selection is subject to document verification

Training Details

  • Selected candidates will undergo 12 months of apprenticeship training at IIT Delhi
  • Apprenticeship will not guarantee employment after completion
  • No accommodation or travel facilities will be provided
  • The entire engagement is governed by institute rules and the Apprentices Act
