United India Insurance Company Limited has announced a major opportunity for fresh graduates by inviting applications for engagement of Apprentices for the training year 2025–26 under the Apprenticeship Act. This apprenticeship program is designed to provide practical, on-the-job training to young graduates from engineering and non-engineering backgrounds. The training will run for one year and aims to enhance employability by offering hands-on exposure in a reputed public sector insurance company. Candidates who completed their graduation between July 2021 and 2025 and meet the eligibility conditions can apply for this apprenticeship program. Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

Candidates must have completed full-time regular graduation in any discipline from a recognized university or institution approved by relevant statutory authorities.

  • Graduation pass year must be between July 2021 and 2025
  • Candidates must have completed graduation on or after 01 July 2021
  • Candidates with postgraduate degrees or integrated postgraduate courses are not eligible
  • Candidates must have a 100% completed profile on the apprenticeship portal

Ineligibility Conditions

Candidates will not be eligible if they:

  • Have already completed or are currently undergoing apprenticeship training
  • Possess one year or more work experience in any government or private organization
  • Hold a postgraduate qualification
  • Graduated from an unrecognized institution

Age Limit

  • Minimum Age: 21 Years
  • Maximum Age: 28 Years
  • Age Cut-off Date: 01 December 2025

Age Relaxation

Age relaxation will be provided as per Government of India norms for:

  • Scheduled Caste (SC)
  • Scheduled Tribe (ST)
  • Other Backward Classes (OBC – Non-Creamy Layer)
  • Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD)

Reservation Policy

Reservation will be applicable as per the Apprenticeship Act guidelines for SC, ST, OBC, and PwBD candidates.

  • OBC reservation is applicable only for Non-Creamy Layer candidates
  • Candidates belonging to the creamy layer must apply under the General category
  • Reservation benefits will be subject to valid supporting documents

Training Duration

  • Total Training Period: One Year
    The apprenticeship will be strictly for one year and will automatically end after completion of the training period. No extension will be provided.

Salary / Stipend Structure

  • Monthly Stipend: ₹9,000

Stipend Payment Structure

  • ₹4,500 paid directly by United India Insurance Company
  • ₹4,500 credited by the Government through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT)

No additional allowances, benefits, or bonuses will be provided.

Selection Procedure

The selection process will be completely merit-based and transparent.

Shortlisting Criteria

  • Candidates will be shortlisted based on percentage of marks obtained in graduation
  • Marks will be calculated up to two decimal places
  • CGPA or GPA will be converted into percentage by multiplying by 10

Tie-Breaking Rule

If two or more candidates secure the same percentage, the older candidate will be placed higher in the merit list.

Document Verification

Shortlisted candidates will be called for physical document verification. Final engagement will be subject to successful verification of original documents.

Posting and Training Location

  • Candidates can apply for only one state
  • The company reserves the right to allot any district within the selected state
  • Posting will be decided based on administrative requirements

Leave and Working Conditions

Working Hours

Apprentices will follow the normal working hours applicable to the office where training is provided.

Leave Entitlement

  • Casual Leave: 1 day for every 30 days worked (maximum 12 per year)
  • Sick Leave: 4 days per quarter with valid medical proof

Unused leave will lapse automatically after completion of training.

Nature of Apprenticeship

  • Apprentices are not considered employees
  • No entitlement to PF, ESI, pension, bonus, or other service benefits
  • Completion of apprenticeship does not guarantee employment

Termination of Apprenticeship

The apprenticeship contract may be terminated if:

  • False information is provided
  • Eligibility conditions are violated
  • Apprentice remains absent without authorization
  • Any misconduct is observed during training
