Completion of apprenticeship does not guarantee employment in Railways.

Selection Process

Selection is purely based on merit, calculated by:

  • Average of 10th percentage and ITI percentage
  • Candidates scoring higher combined percentages will be listed above
  • If marks tie:
    • Candidate with older age gets preference
    • If age also same, candidate who passed 10th earlier will be preferred

Final merit list will be trade-wise and category-wise, equal to the number of seats available.

Candidates shortlisted for training must pass a medical examination from a Government-authorized Doctor (Gazetted Rank).
