To provide relief to property owners burdened with long-pending property tax dues, the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has announced the Abhay Yojana 2025–26. This special amnesty scheme offers a massive 75% waiver on the penalty amount charged on outstanding property tax.
The scheme is aimed at encouraging citizens to clear old tax arrears in a simple and affordable manner, while also helping the civic body improve tax collection. The benefit is available for all types of properties, including residential, non-residential, commercial, and open plots within Pune city limits.

Scheme Duration
The Abhay Yojana 2025–26 will be effective only during the officially notified period:

Payments made within this period only will be eligible for the penalty waiver. Any payment after the deadline will attract regular penalties and recovery action.
Who Can Avail the Scheme (Eligibility)
The scheme is open to:
- All property owners in Pune city who have pending property tax dues
- Owners of residential, non-residential, commercial, mixed-use, and open plots
- Property owners who have already benefited from earlier Abhay schemes in:
- 2015–16
- 2016–17
- 2020–21
- 2021–22
There is no restriction based on property size or usage, as long as outstanding dues exist.

Calculate the total pending property tax, including principal arrears and penalties. - Pay the Full Outstanding Amount
The entire tax amount (principal + applicable amount) must be paid in full during the scheme period. - Penalty Waiver Applied Automatically
Once full payment is made within the scheme duration, 75% of the penalty amount is waived automatically.
Partial payments or installment payments will not qualify for the benefit.

Important Points to Remember
- Full payment is mandatory to receive the penalty concession
- Newly reassessed property tax amounts are not eligible for this scheme
- Each property has a separate Property Identification Number (PID); payments must be made individually
- Benefits are applicable only to dues existing before the scheme cut-off date
